The silver plated personal sauce spoon in the Perles pattern is ideal for skimming sauces on a plate and can substitute as a fish knife. The flat-bottomed utensil was created specifically for this purpose in 1950 by Paris’ famous Lasserre restaurant. The Louis XVI-style Perles pattern, which features a single delicate line of beading reminiscent of a classic pearl necklace, was introduced in 1876.
