Dupérier Flambeau, model edited by Christofle in 1982. This piece is a copy of a pair of torches preserved in the Metropolitan Museum in New York. A remnant of Louis XIV style goldsmithing, it also celebrates the talent of Louis Dupérier, who was awarded a master's degree in 1706, during the reign of Louis XIV. With this piece, Christofle demonstrates its ability to faithfully reproduce historical pieces. This reproduction echoes the role Christofle played in the 19th century in offering museum pieces copies using the electroplating technique.
This Christofle Flambeau therefore celebrates both a part of the silversmithing's history and the history of the Maison.
